Proceeding of 1st Executive Body meeting of SPITIA
Venue- Hotel Jannpath, Bhubaneswar
The 1st executive body meeting was held on dated 30/01/2013 in Hotel Janpath, under the chairmanship of Prof. Tara P. Satpathy.
The General Secretary of SPITIA Dr. Arun Kumar Nayak communicated the agenda of the meeting to the house.
At first, all the executive body members were taken oath by Prof. Mahesh Prasad Pani, the advisor of SPITIA with all the formalities in presence of other advisors Er. Bibhuti Bhushan Tripathy, Mr. Srinibas Subudhi and Sri. Gadadhar Nanda, chairman of steering committee.
Then it was decided by the members to complete all the formalities regarding the transfer of bank account operation and taking of charges with documents within a period of one week.
Then the president Prof. Tara P. Satpathy suggested to have a grievance day cum executive committee meeting in every last Monday in Hotel Janpath to discuss the problems of the members which was discussed and finalized.It was also decided that if any case, the meeting could not have held in due date, it will be conducted on the very next Monday.
Again it was discussed and decided that the executive member fails to attend 3 consecutive meeting will lose his E.C Membership.
The Zonal secretary of KBK Zone Mr. Lalit Kumar Nayak, proposed to make an arrangement of appointment with vice-chairman, SCTE&VT and fix up a meeting with the new body, which was approved by the house.
The president of SPITIA again arose the matter of meeting with minister regarding various issues and difficulties of the general members. The house decided to meet the minister with following points:
i- Inclusion of BPL category students under PRERANA SCHEME.
ii- Private ITI’s having production wing should get SSI status.
iii- Previous commitment by the Govt. as per the notification dated 24/12/2006 should be honored.
iv- Special Workshop with Govt. to discuss various basic issues and problems in ITI sector.
The members present in the meeting expressed their dissatisfaction about the AITT – 2013 results. Especially in the trade of electrician. It was discussed and decided to make communications with the state council and take necessary steps in this matter.
Mr. Simanchal Panda, Zonal Secretary of Rourkela Zone put a proposal regarding the state level sports among the ITI’s of the state to spread brotherhood and unity. All the members present in the meeting accepted and approved the proposal and decided to organize it in the last week of February 2014 after the semester examination.
Lastly the meeting was ended with the vote of thanks to the chair and others by Er. Arakhita Mohanty, the treasurer of SPITIA.
